Remington Nitro Piston Short Stroke .22, Digital Camo

There are many detailed and glowing reviews for this rifle online, so I'll just add a couple things.  

First, I wasn't sure what to expect from the pictures, but the NPSS has a pretty solid look and feel.  It pumps smoothly and easily, and although it has some recoil, there's no rattling or banging; just a strong, reassuring thud.  The scope is a nice addition.  I've never used a rifle scope before, but I watched a how-to video online and had it setup in a few minutes, no prob.

Second, this thing packs a real punch.  I mean a rrreeeaaalll punch.  I taped a row of pennies onto a homemade trap made of duct tape, several layers of cardboard, foam, and a phone book.  When shot, the pennies punched through the duct tape and cardboard.  I retrieved the pennies with an arterial clamp and all of them had fragmented.  One burst into 4 pieces!  I've never seen an air gun do that before.

So while it's quiet enough to use indoors, it's probably not such a hot idea after all.
